Memorial Day

Each year my family's neighborhood has the same tradition. Breakfast up American Fork Canyon on Memorial Day at the Canyon Park. Well this year was different. We still went up for breakfast up the same old canyon, but this time we ate at Mutual Dell. Don't ask me why but I swear we didn't eat at Mutual Dell last year. Scottie didn't agree and since he will bet on anything and everything...he proposed thatwe should bet. The bet? 100 dollars to spend on anything. Me, the shop-aholic who hasn't shopped since who knows when, decided to take him up on it. Driving up the canyon I was picturing the cute outfits I would soon be purchasing with the prize money and the look on my husbands face when he realized he was wrong. But that all came to an abrupt halt when we pulled into Mutual Dell and flashbacks came back from last year. He was right! We did eat at Mutual Dell!! How could I forget!! Since my husband loves a good bet and he knows I absolutely HATE losing, he decided to rub it in......hard core. So here we are at Mutual Dell and me being a good sport? Ya right....I'm actually a very sore loser.... just ask Scottie.

Isn't it sad that you STILL have to wear sweatshirts and jackets in the canyon? It will be June this week for heaven's sake. Cute post:) Jeff and I have something like that bet going on in our home, but its on going and the stakes get higher and higher as time goes on. This is what I get for marrying one of the most competitive people I know. We just love our hubbies, don't we??

Oh Christie, with 100 dollars on the line your shouldn't have jumped to your conclusion so quickly! Good by clothes! That sucks. I don't remember you being such a poor looser! We'll have to get together and play games, Cause I'm a competitive little thing!

I have the worst memory I never make bets because I would always be the loser. So what is Scottie buying with his $100??

I'm so bad at bets like that. I think I have the best memories of something, but 9 times out of 10 I'm completely wrong!

Christie! I didn't know you had a blog! I have loved reading it!yea! Thank you so much for such a cute gift...I loved it and you were so thoughtful to have dropped it off like that! I am bummed you are down south for the summer... actually that is fun for you, but you were on my things to do list before I had a baby. I have been the worst at keeping in touch, but I wanted to do lunch or something! Good thing we have the blogging world! I am so happy that you are so in love!
